East Educational Research Center of Drug use Disorder (EERcoDA)
The idea of launching the East Educational Research Center of Drug use Disorder (EERcoDA) was established in 2016, after visiting the secretary of the Counter narcotics Coordinating Council from Psychiatric and Behavioral Sciences research center. This topic was raised at the first session of the Counter Narcotics Coordination Council of Khorasan Razavi Province in 2016, and the establishment of the center was approved by the Governor of Khorasan Razavi on December 24, 2018.
This center is one of the most comprehensive treatment centers in the province with a full menu of agonist drugs in outpatients who will need hospitalization services, to continue the treatment by contacting the Avicenna Psychiatric Hospital.
Based on licenses issued by the Counseling Committee of the Counter Narcotics Committee of the Province and the Ministry of Health, the Center is one of the few centers competent to conduct professional and professional training courses for physicians, psychologists and therapists in the field of drug addiction throughout the country, and is prepared to empower patients, families, researchers, and drug abuse activists as the east of the country hub. In the future, we hope that with the support of the provincial Authorities and the Ministry of health and medical education and the Counter narcotics Headquarters, and in interaction with the members of the Narcotics Coordination Council of the province, the center will serve as Educational, Research and Therapeutic Center and specialized referral center for the addictive behaviors, as the east of the country hub, with expertise in the field of prevention, treatment and harm reduction in the region are known and in interaction with relevant institutions and organizations as the focal point of domestic and international health organizations, and respond to part of the provincial, national and regional needs based on indigenous knowledge.
